Friedr. Dick was established in the late 1700's in Germany, a small workshop making files. In 1873, Paul Friedrich Dick took over the company and started sharpening steel production growing the company to over 100 employees and branching out to butchers tools and cutlery. Their steels have developed a cult following among butchers and chefs.
