Late 19th century Will & Finck lime squeezer with Japonesque design elements on hinge made in San Francisco in excellent condition. The hinge is tight and secure with hardly any wiggle.
After the 1876 Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia a mania for Japanese art and design began leading to an explosion of "Japonesque" design which can be seen in the shape of the hinges and the Japanese lady with fan and chrysanthemum in this piece. This puts the date of manufacture after the mid 1870's to the 1890's.
Being that this is rosewood, international shipping is prohibited.
