The fine stone of choice at Bernal Cutlery. The Takenoko #8000 stone is mostly man-made abrasives, but has a little bit of natural grit, making for a slightly more aggressive #8000, cuts more like a #6000. Ideal for finishing up most double bevel kitchen knives, leaving a fine, slightly toothy cut ideal for vegetable prep.
Use the Nagura stone to raise a fine mud, speeding up the polishing process. Also good for resurfacing the stone after flattening with a course stone.
