This knife from Russell was one of the most popular knives in the old west, while it is unmarked it is the quintessential Russell skinning knife, many of these had a twine wrapped handle like this one.

The age of this one is hard to nail down, it is a forged rather than stamped blade which is consistent with older production, but without a stamp it cannot be precisely dated.

The "mountain man" style sheath was made for this exact knife as it is a precise fit, the copper rivets have a deep patina and the leather is definitely old. This could have been made in the late 19th century / early 20th century or the 1950's/60's.
